Caring for your lashes
Wash daily, regardless of if you wore makeup or not. It is extremely important to remove oils, dead skin, and debris that build up throughout the day.
Have oily skin or lids? Make sure to cleanse twice a day. Also make sure to cleanse after sweating, swimming, or crying.
No mascara, cream/gel based liners, heavy concealers, or false lashes. These can't be cleansed off properly and can cause issues with retention and hygiene.
No lash curlers or lash lifts.
Keep away from high heat that can singe lashes: lighters, ovens, blow dryers, etc. Just distance yourself. Avoid steam/saunas as it can cause the adhesive to melt and recure with your lashes clumped together.
Avoid excessively touching or rubbing your lashes.
Don't pick your lashes! You can pull your real lash and damage the follicle. It will also take longer to grow back, giving me less natural lashes to work with.
Your natural lashes shed daily, about 2-5 lashes on average. Some people lose more, some less.
If you are a face sleeper or sleep on your side, you may notice your lashes come off quicker.
Book your appointments every 2-3 weeks. This not only keeps your set looking good, but protects the health of your natural lashes.
IT IS IMPORTANT TO FOLLOW THE SPECIFIC AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED TO ENSURE THE BEST POSSIBLE RESULTS AND RETENTION. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS ABOUT THE AFTERCARE PROCESS, BE SURE TO ASK!
How to wash your lashes
Step 1: Always wash your lashes after removing your makeup.
Step 2: Put 1 pump of lash cleanser into your hand or straight onto your lashes.
Step 3: Take your brush and swirl it into the cleanser. Apply to the eyelid and brush downwards into the lashes, then left to right along the lash line. Repeat this a few times to thoroughly cleanse.
Step 4: Rinse thoroughly making sure no cleanser residue remains. If the shampoo’s foam dissolves quickly upon application, that means your lashes are very oily. Wash again until clean.
Step 5: Pat dry with a washcloth or paper towel. Using your fan to blow dry them will get them soft and fluffy again. Once the lashes are mostly dried, brush them from the top, rotating the spoolie outwards a few times to get them looking their best.
Step 6: Brush them throughout the day. This will not only keep them looking good, but will help remove any debris that may have accumulated. Make sure to wash your spoolie regularly or switch it out with one from your fill appointment!
Remember:
If you see a lash or two come out while cleaning or bushing, that means it was time in their growth cycle to shed. Please do not think that you lose more by washing them!
